A disfrutar!
ENG - Today I wanted to share and easy xmas ornament DIY, but Daniela was crying all afternoon (vaccines time yesterday) and couldn't take the photos.
So today I'm going to share how to make this pink rainbow cake, with a trick.
Because I didn't have much time preparing everything for the baptism, I chose a ready to put in the oven batter. Of course if you have time, you should make it yourself, there's lots of yummy recipes over the internet! But this is my simple solution.
Ingredients:
2 packs of cake batter
gel food colour red/pink
500gr mascarpone cheese
2 tbs icing sugar
200gr white chocolate
1. Divide the batter in 4 or 5 bowls and add the colour gel one drop at a time till you reach the desired colour. Bake each layer separately and let it cool.
2. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave (careful not to burn it) and let it cool.
3. Mix the mascarpone with a couple of spoons of icing sugar (not too much, white chocolate is pretty sweet). When white chocolate is cold add to the mascarpone and mix until combined.
4. Put one layer of cake and one layer of frosting until you have your cake complete. To cover the cake you can use a pastry bag or a spatula, whatever you feel most confortable with. Put in the fridge so the chocolate hardens a bit. And Enjoy!!
